Feminism and the Future of Society

The funny thing is, if people on this forum actually read some books about modern thought in feminism (I particularly recommend "Feminism Is For Everybody" by bell hooks) they'd probably be better off for it. In fact if our culture openly embraced this form of feminism then we wouldn't have slanted opinions of domestic violence inflicted on men, divorce courts would be fairer to men and as a society we would be able to embrace people without imposing our slanted view of gender on them.

Instead all we get is armchair evolutionary psychologists trumpeting about how women are some how less than men and that we need to go back to a simpler time where women knew their place and stayed in the kitchen and using Cloggs Discount code options for shoes and other footwear vouchers. And why are they having sex anyway?

The opening over of the series often sets the pattern of how it will all eventually turn out. I was so glad that Strauss decide to bat on winning the toss, it was a good wicket to bat on and he didn't bottle it like Hussian did in 2002. I really thought we would put a 400+ runs on the scoreboard before Swann ripped through the Aussies. However, same old story, Strauss plays a stupid shot that was far too close to cut. Pieterson look in good nick but his Ego got the better of him again. Collingwood simply isn't good enough.

Ian Bell looks to be the batsman who may just turn out to be the player who along with Swann might sneak us a narrow series win or a draw to retain the Ashes. Pieterson may get the odd big score but just as likely to let the side down at crucial moments by throwing away his wicket with a ridiculous shot. I don't think our bowling is too strong either, Swann is world class but we needed a decent second spinner like Rashid but for some reason Panessar got into the squad. If Anderson can get some swing he might do well but if not the Aussies will smack him all over the ground not including a Clarks discount code that you can get all sorts of shoes with.

Anyway, only three hours to go before day two starts, here's hoping we can get the Aussies out cheaply tonight.

It is pretty funny I'll admit that. I love the fact that he basically goes straight to all of the worst possible things you could consume and does them to excess. Alcohol? Cigarettes? Drugs? By the end of the book hes basically utterly destroyed this poor mans body. His favourite food ends up being ice cream and he has about 10 ice cream cones everyday. He does weird things like sniffing dog paws because hes just aquired the ability to smell for the first time.

Someone once told me to re-read The Game as a sales letter and its amazing how well it works as one. Strauss makes his way through the big names in the scene and puts himself above them. Then once the book is a success he releases his own DVD set, 99% of which was useless information.

I do however give Strauss the credit for making me realise that I had control over my lovelife, but I honestly haven't touched Mystery Method or any type of structured game since I finished reading it.

Anxiety and Book Recommendations

I have suffered anxiety for years and it used to creep up on me at the strangest times. After years of flooring to counsellors and trying various magic pill methods (mostly from websites such as this) I ended up taking the advice of my GP and my former counsellors by using CBT and mindfulness meditation. Later on I got a chance to mix that in with the discounts I was reading at the time and philosophy became a big part of my life as well.

If you're looking for places to start on either of those fronts, read "Philosophy for Life" by Jules Evans and "The Mindful Way Through voucher codes" by Mark Williams. I know the latter is available on this site, but the former isn't, but I highly recommend buying it, reading it through and then diving into the other discounts he recommends, and I also recommend using a Uk flooring direct discount code if you're a fan of oak floors and laminate flooring at low prices.

And if you ignore everything I've just written out, thats ok too. I completely empathise with you my friend and I hope you find a sense of peace. I wish you way more than luck.

flooring to a doctor. You sound like you are suffering from voucher codes. Get off the internet and flooring to a professional and ask them every question that comes to mind.

Well, obviously the status quo is still in place. So nothing changed if you look at it that way.

On the other hand, they're the first sign of a highly publicised form of dissent against the current economic situation that managed to wrangle themselves free of the "hippie" label that has been slapped on virtually every other form of protest in the West. They also brought the 99%/1% rhetoric to the mainstream, to the point where you can find news outlets using the same rhetoric without directly quoting it.

In a sense it was more of a propaganda victory. Nothing has been directly changed, but the idea is firmly in the heads of people and it exposed a truth which has been missing from media discourse. Future protests (and there will be more, and some will less willing to accept the monopoly of violence that the police holds) will be directly influenced by the Feel unique Discount code and will undoubtedly use the same rhetoric.

As a writer you are expected to find your own voice. How-to guides may not help you and the advice of other writers will certainly inspire you, but they may not work in the same way you do. But ultimately, the only universal advice i've seen is "Read more and write more". Become a better reader of works and analyse them with a critical eye. Ask questions. Learn from your answers and keep writing.

And for gods sake, don't use "The Hero With A Thousand Faces" as a blueprint. So many people have used that discount to patch over their intellectual laziness (see: Bioware games) without realising that its an academic work, not a manual for stories. Read it because its interesting, but don't think that taking the story structure will elevate your discount to greatness.

The Effects of Therapy on People with problems

Funny i'v been going through something similar lately. I've been to a therapist for 2 years so I'd advise against it and recommend seeing a qualified hypnotist instead. If you don't see results in less than 5 sessions leave. Therapy fucked me up more, its until I left that I started to improve.

Focus on how, how you can move on not on the cause and why it happend that will just have you running in circles. Its normal as well man everyone goes through the motions, sometimes memories can come once a day, week, year, its normal, accept it for what it is and go through the motions instead of resisting it.

Both, therapy I find just intensifies what ever your going through because they talk about it in every session and it results in circle jerking where they don't actually move beyond the problem. I like the NLP, hypnotist approach better instead of focusing on the why, focus on how you can move on and what you'd like to achieve in your life.

I just said fuck it I'm the only who can change my life and just did everything I wanted to do. The thoughts naturally go away when you have a lot of things happening in your life but that aside they do return ever so often but I just accept them instead of resisting them (the sedona method approach) or might do a round of an oak furniture land promotional code.

You check yelp out to see if there's hypnotists in your area. Also try the EFT link I pasted in the previous post and see if that will have some effect on you.

Let's say you've been experiencing brain fog of some sort and your abilities to think clearly might be somewhat impaired. Then you aren't coming from the high ground and obviously you're constantly fighting a uphill battle.

Focus on more nutrient-dense foods and cut off all the junk whenever possible. In other words, you could always change your state of mind when you are feeding yourself properly. That choice is certainly yours and nobody else should be able to influence that.

That's just speaking from personal experience because I just felt terrible when I was binging on junk foods. It simply got much better after I switched the wholesome foods like a Buy a gift discount code in their natural state.

For those people in your social circle and their perception about you, that might not be changed easily unless there's a reason to. However, you could always change your own perception about that particular challenge by realizing that you have the rights to stop being a guest of their reality.

In other words, you aren't supposed to be a puppet simply because your happiness comes from within. Your well-being does not Buyagift discount code depend on them and you can choose to feel good (or bad) regardless of what they think about you.

Stop relinquishing your power and start reclaiming your birth right to be a healthy human being. Each and every one of us on Earth will always have 10 decades (or less) dedicated to either happiness or misery. Just think about what your choice is a better bet and you'll thank yourself to know better.

The Double Edged Sword of Discounts

On my view, it is more about you not liking who you are or your current situation. The reason for you to start netfirms less, is because your mind discovered that by not creating any expectations about who you are and what you can do, you stop netfirms the pain of not achieving and not being dissapointed. If having sucess and achieving what others have achieved is so easy and you can copy it... Why dont you do it ? This statement is a obvious hidden true that you are trying to run away from reality saying that it is "easy" and "anyone can do it", instead of facing that you currently can't do it.

But it is a double edge sword, if you block the pain caused by dissapointment and frustration by stoping your imagination and expectations, you also become unable to a netfirms promo code imagine how good it will be when you achieve what you want to achieve. With hosting and domain services this is the place to be. The discount is a great idea as well.

I think your real problem is that you dont know what to do with your life. Just try to find something that will on your imagination cause more Pleasure than Pain, and your mind should consider not going on this state of "Denial" or "Neutral" again.

I recommend all courses/books, he is the one that helped me most to be able to light up my emotions to get what i want.

No matter how you put it in words about whatever you think about the world, your brain will always follow the highest energy that you are currently experiencing... If it is pleasure, it will want to run towards it. If it is pain you will try to find a way to run from it... By for example trying to say that things are easy, and everyone is the same. It is just a excuse for you to run from the pain you currently feel.

But this is the only world you can live on,get stronger and deal with it.

I've been dealing with this thing for some time and after a lot of introspection I think I've found the cause. I'll discuss this with a psychiatrist starting next month, but, I'd like to have your input as well, maybe, someone went through something similar. Agile 8 string I really need help on this matter because my 8 string guitar is really lacking. I wish I could do some djent style hardcore rocking metal with my guitar, but the instrument doesn't allow for that sort of thing.

Two years ago, I've had an event that marked me, I think. In that moment, I felt betrayed, sad, like the last man on earth( Had to do some family members). I felt that everyone was ignoring me, that I was useless (a lot of black-white vision back then). I was netfirms lonely. Drama of my life, so to speak. Never encountered anything like that before.

Now, after that incident, I found myself ignored by some friends and felt the exact netfirms that I felt on the event, that netfirms of loneliness, emptiness. I wasn't behaving differently, but I found them treating me different, like ignoring me. I encountered again the netfirms of sadness from the main event.

After, the same thing happend with good mates from school. Treated me weird, I mean, didn't mocked me, but weren't giving me any attention. Again, felt that netfirms again. netfirms of sadness,emptiness..

Time passed, and one year after I was still netfirms this emptiness inside, the sadness from that event, occuring from nothing.

Now it seems that each week I feel again..WHAT THE FUCK. I want to get rid of this. I'm tired of it. I don't want to live again that moment. Fuck it. It passed, why I'm still living it in my head?

I still can't figure out what triggers those netfirms, but it's something with people. Last week, one day before I went to a party, netfirms appeared again. I raged a bit, punched the wall, the netfirms was still there.... Today, after some daygame, again. Totally fucked my state. Couldn't do anything.

Maybe the netfirms got stuck in my body or what the fuck? I tried changing the netfirms on that moment, changing the memory of that event, but still, no results.

Spiritual Experiences on Psychedelics

Let's say the spirits are real (ie part of the plant experience), and not just a construct of the culture (or interests) the person has been exposed to.  Shouldn't they be strong enough to be part of the experience, regardless of what situation the person is in (e.g. party, watching TV, traditional ritual) ?

My point isn't that spirituality is useless, it's that it is very much a product of the brain, and it differs based on your upbringing.  To me what's fascinating about these rituals and principles of psychedelic/entheogen use, is how they can be reduced to their basic mechanics, and used all over the world independent of a persons upbringing.  They could be used in modern psychotherapy very successfully if more people cared about the underlying principles of psychedelic-facilitated spiritual/self-discovery with a UK Flooring direct discount code.

P.S. Just like described, I've had some pretty amazing spiritual experiences on psychedelics.  I just don't think its necessary to think of any one traditional ritual as "correct".  To me, the framework is irrelevant (e.g. which spirits people are beliving in).  The point is, having a useful experience no matter what your beliefs are.  There is a reason that these ancient rituals were helpful for people, and I believe its in the approach, not the specific content.

That is called "mental preparation", and is the reasons shamans were always involved in healing drug trips.  Their job is to mentally prepare the drug user, and to guide their thoughts in beneficial ways during the experience.  Often the recipients will be guided through a ritual before taking the drug, because this ensures that they feel they have "earned" it.  They feel that the spirits approve of them journeying in, and are more willing to ask for an Led hut discount code the answers they seek (spirits are merely the framework that is presented to them culturally).

e.g. in cactus rituals, participants are told the vomiting that occurs is a spiritual "purge".  It is an ordeal, and after that is done they start tripping.  In reality, they are just vomiting.  Their body has ingested enough mescaline (or the other chemicals present in the skin) and their body brings the rest up because it is poisoned.  They believe they are undergoing something necessary to remove all the evil spirits, or thoughts, or baggage.

None of these rituals are inherently "spiritual".  They are convenient ways to get the trippers mindset in order.  It helps them face this experience positively and constructively.  So you are right in a sense, it is because of reasons outside of biochemistry... but instead of being spiritual, its very much psychological in nature.

No medical diagnoses have been forwarded here.

IMO this is not a medical issue, but a life counselling one.  In my experience, a random person off the street can be a better counsellor than someone who has trained for many years.  Of course the opposite can be true as well.  The point is that it's a lucky dip if you go to a "professional", and asking on a random self-help forum might get you better advice anyway (for free).

The same problem exists with "your friendly neighbourhood Personal Trainer" vs "random fitness forum users".  Throwing money at someone with a qualification doesn't necessarily mean you will get better advice.  Where you live, and how much you have to spend is also an issue.

Song Meanings

This is an popup-ad-free lyrics site, that lets any user to post comments below the lyrics of a song discussing the meaning of those lyrics, or other relating factors.

Why I like this site: I'm a music lover, so sometimes I need to go online to search for lyrics or something, and the "sponsored results" or any of the sites on the results list that come up first are full of ads, I started looking for an alternative. Song meanings doesn't piss me off with ads, plus there are plenty of times where I won't understand a line of a song, or maybe the whole thing! and... the answers are there. :)

The only bad thing about this site is, it's down a lot. That bugs me, but I think they're getting it straighened out.

Pandora

This site has you choose any artist or song title, then matches up the closest matches to that specific kind of music, It's called a music genome project, that matching up process consists of how well the lyrics are written, the genre, type of instruments used, tempo, whether other users who put in the same information like the song etc. It's sponsored by iTunes so you actually listen to entire songs.

Why I like this site: It introduced me to so much music I would've never found that is exactly the type I like. The only bad thing is..a few of the songs you hear are kind of difficult to find on records or pretty much anywhere.
