Feminism and the Future of Society

The funny thing is, if people on this forum actually read some books about modern thought in feminism (I particularly recommend "Feminism Is For Everybody" by bell hooks) they'd probably be better off for it. In fact if our culture openly embraced this form of feminism then we wouldn't have slanted opinions of domestic violence inflicted on men, divorce courts would be fairer to men and as a society we would be able to embrace people without imposing our slanted view of gender on them.

Instead all we get is armchair evolutionary psychologists trumpeting about how women are some how less than men and that we need to go back to a simpler time where women knew their place and stayed in the kitchen and using Cloggs Discount code options for shoes and other footwear vouchers. And why are they having sex anyway?

The opening over of the series often sets the pattern of how it will all eventually turn out. I was so glad that Strauss decide to bat on winning the toss, it was a good wicket to bat on and he didn't bottle it like Hussian did in 2002. I really thought we would put a 400+ runs on the scoreboard before Swann ripped through the Aussies. However, same old story, Strauss plays a stupid shot that was far too close to cut. Pieterson look in good nick but his Ego got the better of him again. Collingwood simply isn't good enough.

Ian Bell looks to be the batsman who may just turn out to be the player who along with Swann might sneak us a narrow series win or a draw to retain the Ashes. Pieterson may get the odd big score but just as likely to let the side down at crucial moments by throwing away his wicket with a ridiculous shot. I don't think our bowling is too strong either, Swann is world class but we needed a decent second spinner like Rashid but for some reason Panessar got into the squad. If Anderson can get some swing he might do well but if not the Aussies will smack him all over the ground not including a Clarks discount code that you can get all sorts of shoes with.

Anyway, only three hours to go before day two starts, here's hoping we can get the Aussies out cheaply tonight.

It is pretty funny I'll admit that. I love the fact that he basically goes straight to all of the worst possible things you could consume and does them to excess. Alcohol? Cigarettes? Drugs? By the end of the book hes basically utterly destroyed this poor mans body. His favourite food ends up being ice cream and he has about 10 ice cream cones everyday. He does weird things like sniffing dog paws because hes just aquired the ability to smell for the first time.

Someone once told me to re-read The Game as a sales letter and its amazing how well it works as one. Strauss makes his way through the big names in the scene and puts himself above them. Then once the book is a success he releases his own DVD set, 99% of which was useless information.

I do however give Strauss the credit for making me realise that I had control over my lovelife, but I honestly haven't touched Mystery Method or any type of structured game since I finished reading it.
